Kweenz Destroy was founded in 2006 by graffiti artist, designer and entrepreneur INDIE184.
A Washington Heights native, by way of the Dominican Republic, Indie184 always dreamed of
launching her own
clothing brand, fusing her love of fashion and graffiti. She began by
sewing garments for fun while learning graphic design on her own and
gaining international street credibility by doing graffiti pieces in walls from Poland to Los Angeles. One day, in true graffiti tradition, Indie received a
graffiti outline by one of her favorite writers, WEST FC, there he does the notorious KWEENZ DESTROY tag. Indie instantly fell in love with the
bold and powerful tag. She finally captured the essence in a name that reflected her graffiti inspired world. Kweenz Destroy originally stems from
the infamous graffiti crew Kings Destroy founded by the legendary COPE2, which was established in the Bronx in 1982. Kweenz Destroy utilizes
original graffiti art and culture mixed with everyday all around the world girl ideologies. Representing all the ladies keeping it real, fun and fearless. Ladies who aren't afraid of getting paint on their nails or jump fences.
Don't get it twisted, Kweenz Destroy is not to be confused as a crew or a posse it is strictly for the one woman army.
